Wachowskis Want Natalie Portman for New Sci-Fi ‘Jupiter Ascending’?

January 10, 2012 1 comment

Briefly: Take this as nothing more than just an early rumor at the moment, but LA Times’ blog 24 Frames is reporting that Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman is being circled for a role in the Wachowski’s next sci-fi follow-up Jupiter Ascending . She is reportedly being “courted” to star in the film and is “seriously weighing” the part as one of her first big roles since having a baby. It’s a project we’ve heard about before, revealed last October , and although we don’t know much about it, including plot or setting, we know that it’s sci-fi and will be what the Wachowski’s quickly jump into after Cloud Atlas . V for Vendetta connections are being made, but I’m curious to see what Jupiter Ascending is about, what her role even is and if she takes it.

Little Kid Fans Taunt Detroit Lions With Sign [PHOTOS]

January 9, 2012 2 comments

Whoever raised these kids deserves a ‘Parent of The Year Award’. These kids made a sign that said “Here Kitty Kitty” and look like little thugs doing it. This is just great television. The NFC Wildcard playoff came down to the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome where the fans dressed absolutely insane (as usual). Matthew Stafford also still has his mother dress him apparently.   JUMP!

First of all, this is a sports-related story on LeAnn Rimes in a bikini (in Hawaii this week) because she’s playing beach football and in a bikini. Instant blog post. Of course there will be some of you morons who get pissed because you want more Tim Howard goals or stupid tweets from Desmond Howard . But we must address this mess.

The Zombie Hammer, Now with Skull Ejector

Slingshot artificer Jörge Sprave is at it again. This time he’s made a vicious slingshot (no surprise there), but with a second business end — a deadly counter-weighted spike, aka the Zombie Hammer. Ever the thoughtful weaponeer, Jörge added a handled lever to disengage the weapon from zombie-skull after a blow. Don’t worry, he promises to only use his weapon on the undead.

This new version of the glass solution will bring with it increased functionality for devices with smaller form factors, improved touch technology, “connected devices in new application spaces,” and even better durable large-format design aesthetics for you curved-corner lovers out there. Apple to possibly debut completely redesigned iPhone in Fall 2012

January 3, 2012 1 comment

BGR has just reported that Apple is possibly debuting a completely redesigned iPhone in the fall of 2012, following the trend first set by the iPhone 4S, of new Apple products being launched later in the year, instead of mid-year releases. According to the report, the new iPhone will incorporate an aluminum back panel (similar to that of the iPad 2) rather than the glass found on the current iPhone models, the iPhone 4 and 4S.
